Haia! Catrin Dawson ydw i, sefydlydd CommuniCat. Dwi’n dod o Fangor yn wreiddiol a rwan yn byw yng Nghoedpoeth, ger Wrecsam gyda fy ngŵr, hogyn bach dwy oed a Sam, y ci. Rydw i’n gwiethio ym myd Therapydd Iaith a Lleferydd ers dros i bum mlynedd ar ôl gorffen fy hyfforddiant yn Leeds. Mi rydw i wrth fy modd yn gweithio gyda phlant a phobl ifanc a’i teuluoedd i wella a datblygu eu sgiliau cyfathrebu. Gan fy mod i’n fam fy hun rydw i’n hollol ymwybodol o fywyd prysur, teulu ac yn fwy na hapus cynnig gwasanaeth hyblyg; yn y lle iawn ac ar yr amser sydd yn gweddu i chi fel teulu. Mae gen i brofiad o weithio mewn clinigau, ysgolion prif lif a mewn ysgol arbennig gyda phlant â anghengion arbennig. Cymraeg ydi fy iaith gynta’ i a rydw i’n angerddol am gynnig gwasaenth i deuluoedd yng Ngogledd Cymru yn yr iaith Gymraeg.
Rydw i wedi fy hyfforddi mewn Makaton, PECS, Social Stories a Talking Mats.
Rydw i wedi cofrestru gyda Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, y Health Care Professionals Council ac yr Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice.
Hello, my name is Catrin Dawson and I am the founder on CommuniCat. I am from Bangor originally and now live in Coedpoeth, on the outskirts of Wrexham with my husband, our two year old little boy, and Sam the dog. I have worked within the Speech and Language Therapy services for over five years after completing my training in Leeds. I absolutely love working with children and young people and their families to improve and develop their communication skills. Being a mum myself I totally understand the business of family life and therefore I am happy to offer a flexible service; offering assessment and therapy in the right place and at the right time for you as a family. I have experience working within community clinics, mainstream schools and within a special school working with children who have special educational needs. I am fully bilingual in Welsh and English and I am passionate about offering a bilingual service to families across North Wales.
I am trained in Makaton, PECS, Social Stories and Talking Mats.
I am registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, the Health Care & Professionals Council and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independence Practice.
